Dr. Vangelis Vergetis is a company founder with over fifteen years of early-stage investing, strategic advisory, and operational experience in the intersection of data science, technology, and healthcare.
He is a co-founder of Intelligencia Inc, a venture-funded company that applies Artificial Intelligence to pharmaceutical research and development to assess and minimize the risk of clinical development. Dr. Vergetis is also co-founder, board member, and president of Eucrates Biomedical Acquisition Corp, which completed its initial public offering in October 2020. Eucrates is targeting to invest its capital in companies at the interface of data science, biomedicine, and healthcare. Prior to co-founding Intelligencia, Dr. Vergetis spent about a dozen years as a consultant – as a partner at Hakluyt, and prior to that at McKinsey & Company – focusing almost exclusively in the healthcare space.
Dr. Vergetis is a board member and member of the Executive Committee of the Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare (AAIH), and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for Cornell’s Faculty of Computing & Information Sciences.
He received a B.S. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
