Climate Risk Expert, DG Macroprudential Policy and Financial Stability, European Central Bank

Spyros leads the team that developed the European Central Bank’s first economy-wide climate stress test and more broadly coordinates the ECB’s work around climate risk and financial stability. Prior to that he has held various expert roles within the ECB contributing to preserving European financial stability with a focus on market risk and banking, safe assets and sovereign risk. Before joining the ECB, Spyros gained experience in investment management and financial markets research roles in the private sector. Spyros holds an MS in Mathematical Finance from Boston University and a BSc in Economics from City University London.
